Experience ESD on stage

Overview
In celebration of our 15th anniversary, Eliot Smith Dance returns with a bold reimagining of Eliot Smith’s acclaimed work POPPY — a powerful reflection on war, conflict, love, and sacrifice.
Originally created in 2018, this newly envisioned production features an original score by multi-award-winning composer Adam Johnson and is performed by five exceptional dancers.
Inspired by the enduring symbolism of the poppy flower and the poetry of John McCrae, the work follows a love couple torn apart by the devastation of World War II.
Don’t miss this moving and visually arresting performance from one of the North of England’s leading contemporary dance companies.
